Zsolt Haraszti was 10 years old when he left his family home in Komlo, Hungary to study ballet at the prestigious Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest.

In 1990, Zsolt (pronounced “joldt”) moved to Winston-Salem, NC to complete his graduate studies at the North Carolina School of the Arts. A year later he accepted a position at the Washington Ballet where he spent the next four years honing his craft.

From 1995, he danced with the German State Opera House in Berlin for the next three years, until an injury forced him to retire.

In 1998, he moved to Charleston, SC to start a new life. Leaving his dance career behind, Zsolt worked as a banquet server, limo driver, bartender, and a computer technician, before he was asked by the Charleston Ballet Theatre to film its performances. Knowing all the choreography, it was second nature for him to follow the action, while learning a new skill that would lead to his next career from performing in front of an audience to being behind the camera.

In 2005, Zsolt joined The International Cinematographers Guild, and has since worked on a variety of movies and television shows. For a detailed list of them, please visit his IMDB page.
